Tatiana Mantsevich started working on the project even before the house was commissioned, and when she first got acquainted with the apartment, she found a couple of surprises in it.

Living room. The shelving on the wall, the console under the TV and modular banquettes are made to order according to the sketches of the author of the project in the carpentry workshop Ambienti. The perimeter of the living room was sewn, which visually connected three doorways (entrance to the living room, kitchen and office) and hid wiring and communications for the air conditioner in it. This solution made it possible not to lower the ceiling.Photo: Egor Pyaskovsky

The main one was the window in the future office: it was small and was at eye level. After considering the situation, Tatiana decided not to mask this non-standard element, but to push off from it when creating the interior of the room. “We “beat off” the window height line along the perimeter of the entire room: we painted the walls in two colors, made a backlit stitching and a bookshelf at the same height,” she says. A small niche has been turned into a resting place, which, if necessary, can shelter one of the guests who stayed overnight.

Despite the fact that the house is panel and global changes cannot be made to the layout, the designer managed to correct it. Find, for example, a place for the laundry area, which was not originally intended in this apartment. The laundry room was placed in the part of the corridor that adjoins the kitchen: its reverse side looks like one of the deaf kitchen facades.

Tatiana Mantsevich took part of the bedroom under the dressing room, and put a multifunctional wardrobe in the hallway: it provides a place for clothes on a hanger, drawers for small things and leashes, open shelves for books, an electrical switch is also placed in it. There is also a cat toilet hiding here – it is given out by a round hole on the facade.

For the living room, the designer has developed a console with modular elements. Under the glass tabletop, in addition to the stationary part for the equipment, mobile modules are stored. They can be both banquettes for guests, and an additional table, if they are arranged side by side.

At the first meeting, the hostess said that she would very much like to see a blue kitchen in her apartment. Tatiana made a counter-proposal: to build the whole project on the basis of a saturated blue color.

So a “branded” blue shade appeared in the interior: in painted furniture facades and walls, tiles, door panels, textiles and even in paintings. The blue color was assigned terracotta as a companion, and white, gray and beige became the background colors.

The interior turned out to be bright, welcoming and cheerful. And all the surprises of the apartment-new buildings went only to his benefit.
