The Chinese brand Neobio already has several children’s play spaces that look like amazing multicolored universes for young dreamers and researchers. The new Neobio game center opened recently in Shanghai: two floors of slides, mazes and zones with different activities were designed by designer Li Wenqiang from Pig Design Studio.

Neobio space is located in the local “Silicon Valley” — the dynamically growing suburb of Shanghai Pudong. The compact two-storey building will stand out against the background of respectable stone facades thanks to the warm egg shade and retrofuturist architecture. There are almost no right angles here: windows and openings have streamlined outlines, like most interior elements.

The collisions of patterns in the game room seem almost psychedelic, and the impression is complemented by a mirrored ceiling that doubles the multicolored collage. The interior of the main hall resembles a well-drawn wimmelbuch with many interesting details that you can look at for hours. That’s just in Neobio, visitors have the opportunity to really “get lost” in the fantasy world, deciphering color and ornamental clues.

Creating different elements of the playground, the designers focused on natural images. There is a sun and a moon, clouds-lamps, a rainbow and a slide similar to a snowdrift. Tree branches, raindrops, mountains and rivers inspired the authors to abstract paintings and decorative solutions. In addition to the general game room, Neobio offers its visitors areas for interest classes. The fairy-tale world includes a kitchen, a princess’s dressing room, a fire station, a spaceship, a store, a theater, a veterinary clinic and even an incubator for chickens. On the second floor, next to a bright cafe, there is a separate hall for children’s parties.
