A modern dentistry with a “soothing” interior has opened in the center of Amsterdam: designers from Studio i29 used natural wood, sterile white surfaces and a pleasant grassy shade of green.

The harmonious color trio helped to structure the space, decorated without unnecessary details. The green fill focuses on the patient reception desk and the portal leading to the dental offices, and the bright waiting area is divided into clear blocks with truly surgical precision. “The purity of the lines and the flawless white color are intuitively read as an indication of medical professionalism,” the authors of the project believe.

To add variety to the strict geometry, the designers skillfully integrated live plants into the interior. They placed ficuses in tubs and planters in the waiting room, and in the center of the main room of the clinic, where the courtyard used to be, they arranged a small, gravel-strewn garden. Sunlight penetrating through panoramic windows, natural shades and textures of plants serve as decoration of snow-white corridors of dentistry.

The treatment rooms are decorated as glass “boxes” with a contrasting wooden frame and a delicate pattern in the form of vertical matte stripes on the walls. In each of them, the designers placed a skylight — so that during the procedures, patients can admire the blue sky or clouds running through it.
