In one of the most atmospheric cities of Sardinia — Porto Cervo – the conceptual pizzeria Myrto with an ascetic but expressive interior has opened. Italian architects from Studio Wok conveyed the beauty of island rocks, sandy beaches and olive groves in it.

“Our first question that we asked ourselves was: what is this place, the Costa Smeralda, what is its essence? – tell the authors. – Then we remembered the bizarre granite cliffs, rolled by wind and sea. Their shade varies depending on sunlight, proximity to sea water or green thickets”” It was the warm cream color with a yellowish and pinkish undertone that the architects chose for the interior of Myrto. The streamlining and plasticity of granite boulders was embodied in the rounded corners and ceilings of the halls, the arched arrangement of windows and openings. The beauty of the monochrome solution is emphasized by the delicate texture of the glaring plaster.

On a pastel background, the architects delicately placed accent elements in blue and green. The counter, lined with artisanal tiles, symbolizes the sea with its millions of shades, and the laconic furniture of dusty green tones reminds of Mediterranean olives and cypresses. The restaurant’s patio with spectacular overgrown walls also received an injection of artistic minimalism. The authors covered it with a canopy made of thin strips of white fabric. “Like the interior of the restaurant, the patio is a kind of cave located under water and covered with a light roof that responds to any breeze and opens up pieces of the sky,” the architects say.
