Once Pushkin himself danced at balls in the walls of this mansion in the center of Moscow, and today the new office of designer Polina Pidtsan is located here.

In recent years, Polina Pidtsan’s team has grown, and we had to look for a new office where everyone would be comfortable working. A suitable one was found in an old mansion in the center of Moscow. In the XIX century, the hostess of the house arranged balls and receptions, to which Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin came. ”In the summer, excursions about the history of the building are regularly held under our windows,” says Polina.

But she chose the office in this house not because of Pushkin, but because of the very convenient enfilade layout and the safety of the premises – the parquet, doors and stucco were in excellent condition. “We just repainted the walls and doors, made new bathrooms in marble and ordered the necessary furniture—” the designer recalls. —This is very important, because when you need to move an entire office and twenty employees, repairs need to be done quickly.”

Now the office of the bureau has rooms for architects, designers, for storing samples, a meeting room, an office of Polina and her husband and co-founder of the bureau Evgeny Chusov, a kitchen, a room for printers and two bathrooms — for employees and a separate one for Polina and Eugene. “I am so glad that I was able to allocate a place for a separate bathroom, because here I can gather for an event, and just stay in silence and think”” the designer shares.

In her office, Polina wanted to create the spirit of a Paris apartment, to convey the lightness and airiness of space. There are no massive cabinets here — just a small shelving and shelves for decor and books. But there is a lot of art that Polina adores and collects all over the world. Above her desk is a painting by the London artist Bianca Smith, painted especially for Polina, and above Eugene’s desk is a work of glass, ceramics and bronze by the Pless artist Alexander Timofeev.

In the design of the meeting room, the designer used all her signature techniques, for example, a combination of paint and silk on the walls and curtains with branded edging, and the shelves inside are decorated with silk wallpaper — this is very convenient, because in addition to samples and visualization, customers see the quality of execution and finishing options.

The holy of holies of every girl, of course, is a dressing room, and in Polina Pidtsan’s office it is a room for samples. The walls here are occupied by shelves filled with hundreds of pieces of marble, parquet, glass, pieces of fabrics and wallpaper, in a word, everything that will become the basis of interiors. “Here we collect projects — we lay out samples on the island, carry them to the meeting room on a special tray to present to the customer, and after approval we put the samples in envelopes around the premises and put them in a separate box in the rack. Each box is allocated for the project, – says Polina. — It’s very convenient, because everything is always at hand. The most important thing in our system and in our work is perfect order””
